Summary

As a farm hand you must possess the ability and willingness to work with animals but also assist in the daily maintenance of the farm. You will be required to ensure that all animals stalls are cleaned daily, work the very popular pony ride and daily farm maintenance. Job Duties:

• Ensure the all-animals stalls assigned are cleaned of animal waste, provided new hay and any other requirements
• Assist in the grooming and maintaining of all animals
• Ability to work at the pony ride ensuring guest follow rules, pony is safe, and equipment is maintained and used
• Actively communicate with guest about the farm, policies, general animal knowledge
• Interact with animals on a daily basis
• Assist with farm maintenance that is not limited to sweeping, digging, painting, etc.
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements:

• Must have animal experience specifically working with cows, sheep, horses, etc. or a willingness to work with animals
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to follow directions
• Ability to life 50lbs and stand for long periods
• Ability to work outside in adverse heat
