Summary

 

A line cook is responsible for the preparation of food, ingredients and plating of menu items for service to our guests. A line cook ensures that the food quality and presentation is maintained and assists in the tracking of prep levels and inventory. Centreville Amusement Park is a fantastic place for anyone who is looking for a workplace that is in an outdoors environment. We employee many students looking for summer employment, which makes for a great experience to meet new friends. We provide a flexible work schedule, for all employees. We are company that wants our employees to succeed and have fun, by hosting staff BBQs, Semi Formal at the end of the season and we also have a ferry pass that allows employees to get to and from work and that can also be used at other attractions in Ontario.

 

Reports to

Executive Chef or Restaurant Manager

Job Duties:

  • Prepare complete meals or individual dishes for our guest.
  • Operating various kitchen stations such as salads, grill, fryers and ovens.
  • Follow recipes for dishes to company standards
  • Ensures workstation and kitchen area is clean at all times
  • Follow safe food handling procedures
  • Communicates with cooks, and servers on timing of plate service
  • Portion, assemble, wrap food or place directly on plates or take out containers.
  • Keeps track of inventory and reports when stock is low
  • Performs opening and closing duties for kitchen area
  • Reports maintenance issues to manager

Requirements:

  • Min. 1 year restaurant kitchen experience  
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to follow direction
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work on team
  • Food handlers or cooking certification is an asset
  • Ability to work days, evenings and weekends

POSITION SUMMARY

*All New Hires must be available to work weekends and holidays*

This is a Full Time Seasonal Summer position. Candidates must be willing to commit to Full Time work for the entire summer.
