Maintenance Technician

Summary

Ride Technician/Handyman

The maintenance ride technician is a hands-on position for someone starting out in the trades field. You will be assisting the maintenance department with mechanical and preventative maintenance checks for all the rides within the amusement park as well as completing general repairs around for multiple locations that we operate. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, who wants to learn and is able to follow specific directions from our experienced maintenance team. William Beasley provides a working environment that allows our employees to learn but to excel at the skills they already possess. We provide all employees a uniform and a ferry card that allows you to get to and from the island.  

Reports to

Maintenance Manager

Job Duties:

  • Perform minor maintenance or repairs throughout the amusement park, such as but not limited to signage, broken doors, handles, piping, windows etc.
  • Clean, lubricate ride equipment
  • Ensure and check for proper oil levels in gearboxes, hydraulics, belts, or other areas
  • Check air pressure on tires
  • Check all piping and hoses for leakage
  • Check all fasteners for tightness
  • Assist maintenance team with the installation and dismantling of rides during our operating season
  • Ensure workshop is clean and tidy ensuring equipment is in good working order
  • Perform preventative maintenance on rides
  • Assist maintenance department in other duties that will be assigned.

Requirements:

  • Available to work during the day and including weekends, holidays
  • Good Basic knowledge of hand tools, machine shop
  • A willingness to learn and who has in interest in the trades
  • Able to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to follow direction
  • Ability to problem solve and trouble

POSITION SUMMARY

*All New Hires must be available to work weekends and holidays*

This is a Full Time Seasonal Summer position. Candidates must be willing to commit to Full Time work for the entire summer.
