Fantail Pigeon

Unlike other birds, pigeons can fly almost straight upwards. Adult pigeons have over 10,000 feathers! They are the only bird in the world that doesn’t have to lift its head to swallow water. They have amazing eyesight and can see over a 35km distance and can fly more than 900kms in a single day. Pigeons like to eat grains but also fruits, pellets, vegetables and seeds in their diet.
