Meet the Farmers

Farm Manager

Sylvia Dixon has over 40 years’ experience working with horses and other farm animals, including cows, sheep and goats.

Sylvia is the Vice President of the Canadian Young Event Committee, a board member at the Canadian Sport Horses Association (also runs their Development of the Young Horse program) and a board member at the Ontario Horse Trials Committee.

Sylvia currently operates the Beasley family farm in Schomberg, Ontario where she continues to train horses for various competitions including show, jumping and dressage.

At Far Enough Farm, Sylvia is responsible for overseeing all farm operations and for ensuring that all animals receive excellent care at all times and that their enclosures are maintained to an equally high standard.

She is also responsible for overseeing the breeding of the animals, most of which are born at the Schomberg Farm and then transported down to Far Enough Farm in Spring/Summer.

When visiting Far Enough Farm this season, you will meet Tracy McInnis who has been with us since 2021 as the farmer responsible for the daily operations on the farm.

Tracy has 20 years’ experience working with horses at the Woodbine Racetrack. Over the past 30 years, she has held numerous roles working with all variety of live stock and has extensive experience working in the agriculture field.Tracy has experience raising and caring for the many different animals that call Far Enough Farm their home, she loves the animals and equally loves sharing her knowledge about them with visitors to the farm.

 


Farm Hands

There are a number of farm hands working at the farm to aid the Farmers with their duties and to answer questions from visitors.
